Training will take place in the Palma-Palmilla district of Malaga over a four-month period
For the third year running, Althenia and the Malaga branch of Cáritas Diocesana, have signed a collaboration project whereby they agree to train ten women in gardening skills. These are women who have few financial resources and difficulty in finding work.
The duration of the project will be four months. During this training period several tasks will be completed and they will carry out work which is currently being undertaken by the company Althenia in the Palma-Palmilla district of Malaga. A guardian will be assigned to the project to ensure everything runs according to plan and this person will coordinate, direct and check the work.
This type of training has been welcomed over the years, and as such, Althenia and the Malaga branch of Cáritas Diocesana continue to lend their support by providing training which will enable these ten women to develop their potential while learning new skills on the job.
The agreement forms part of the Malaga branch of Cáritas Diocesana’s Project “An Answer for every Woman”, started by Cáritas Parroquiales de Jesús Obrero and San Pío X (Parish Charity Organisations) who carry out activities in the Palma-Palmilla district. In 2010 these Charities decided to undertake a series of activities which provided an answer to the growing need for job training schemes aimed at women from families at risk of social exclusion.
Althenia, a specialist company which undertakes environmental work for Sando, takes their commitment to society seriously to protect and regenerate the Environment as well as contributing to sustainable development.
