The course will be provided through an agreement with the Andalucian Employment Service and the FACCA
Althenia, a company specialised in environmental services, has reached an agreement with the Andalucian Employment Service and FACCA (Federation of Christian Cultural Associations of Andalucia) to provide vocational training to young people in the Palma-Palmilla district of Malaga.
The four-month training program will take place in the Palma-Palmilla district itself, where the youths participating in the program will receive practical and theoretical training in landscape gardening. These skills will immediately put into practice in this area of the city.
The company has designed the program according to the personal characteristics of each trainee with periodic supervision of their progress, integration and knowledge of the principles of landscape gardening.
This partnership stems from the commitment to social responsibility of the Sando Fundación and Althenia, promoting the professional integration of groups with the greatest difficulty in this area, in this case, the young.
Althenia is part of the environmental division of the Sando Group, specialised in landscape gardening, project execution, forestry and Waste management. The company also reached an agreement this month with the Guadalmedina Institute to provide vocational training to students in various districts of the capital.
Last year, Althenia undertook two initiatives for community action and development in partnership with the AFAUS Association and with Caritas. In the first case, a group of mentally handicapped people received practical training in environmental conservation and management of green areas in Guadalajara. The project with Caritas, completed at the beginning of this year, was oriented towards the professional integration of unemployed women in the Palma-Palmilla district of Malaga.
