The Directorate General for Forestry Policy and Biodiversity of the Regional Ministry for Sustainability, Environment and Blue Economy has awarded Althenia Sando a new contract to carry out preventive and improvement forestry treatments in the forests of the Sierra Nevada Natural Area in Granada.
This forestry service to be provided by Althenia Sando, as part of its specialised line, is part of a project by the Andalusian Regional Government to cover all the forests managed by the Regional Government of Andalusia, which lots have separated. It is a project financed by the European Fund for Rural Development, EAFRD.
The planned works have the common objective of adopting actions aimed at breaking the continuity of both horizontal and vertical vegetation and unloading fuels from the forest, thus transforming the existing vegetation mass into one of greater resistance.
Althenia Sando will use its technical and human resources to carry out a series of specific preventive forestry treatments throughout the affected forest. These include scrub clearance, tree felling and timber preparation, stump removal and clearing trees, coppicing, trimming and pruning, Waste collection and stacking or disposal of debris.
Althenia Sando is Sando’s company, specialising in integrated environmental services with a focus on Sustainability. In the forestry field, it has provided its services in the country’s main natural environments, contributing experience, quality and technology.
