Althenia Sando will manage the cleaning of public buildings for Torrox Town Hall

Torrox Town Hall has awarded Althenia Sando the contract for the cleaning of public buildings. The two-year contract will have a budget of 2.8 million euros.

The mayor of Torrox, Óscar Medina, and the territorial delegate of Althenia Sando, Francisco Javier Álvarez, have signed the contract for the cleaning of buildings in the town hall, which will allow the service to start in the next few days.

Torrox Town Hall has indicated the new service will create between 15 and 20 jobs, almost double the current staff, and respond to the municipality’s needs.

Cleaning of public buildings

Althenia Sando, a company specialising in building cleaning, will clean the current municipal facilities and those under construction. It will be responsible for cleaning the mortuary, the new sports complex, and extending the meeting rooms for the elderly.

In accordance with Althenia Sando’s policy regarding the Sustainable Development Goals, two new electric vehicles will be incorporated for the execution of the contract, and measures will be implemented to achieve more efficient management of the service. Torrox Town Hall has also announced that there will be a 2,000-hour annual fund to cover unforeseen circumstances and special events.
