José Luis Sánchez Domínguez, president of Sando received the award from Santiago Herrero, president of the CEA
The magazine Andalucía Económica has presented an award to the Sando Group in recognition of its track record over the last thirty five years. The awards ceremony held last night was part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of the magazine.
The president of the CEA, the Andalucia Business Confederation, Santiago Herrero, presented the award to José Luis Sánchez Domínguez, president and founder of the company, in recognition of Sando’s professional activities over three decades.
The 20th anniversary celebrations of Andalucía Económica were attended by important figures from the business community and representatives of public institutions, including the Councillor for Economics, Science and Innovation of the Government of Andalucia, Antonio Ávila Cano. During the event the special 20th anniversary issue of the magazine was presented, offering a review of the economic, social and political changes in Andalucia during last two decades.
José Luis Sánchez Domínguez has received a number of awards for his long business career at the head of Sando. The most recent honours include his induction into the Academy of Social Sciences and the Environment of Andalucia, and his designation as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Andalucia by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The president of Sando has also received a number of business awards, including the Gold Medal of Merit from the Ministry of Employment, the Trajan Award from the El Mundo newspaper for entrepreneurship and the 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the consultant Ernst & Young.
