The beneficiaries will combine their studies at the Abdelmalek Essaadi University of Morocco with work experience in SANDO’s branch in Tangier.
The Universities of Seville and Malaga have signed a collaboration agreement with the Sando foundation to award four grants, two for each academic institution, for the international mobility of students.
The beneficiaries will receive a grant at the Abdelmalek Essaadi of Morocco during six months. In this period, the students will combine classes with work experience for three months in a SANDO group company dedicated to urban Waste management located in the city of Tangier.
Students specialised in that sector can apply, so we are looking for students studying degrees and master’s degrees in Physics, Chemistry, Architecture, Materials Engineering or Environmental Sciences, among others.
The priority lines of the Convention focus on promoting mobility and work experience of students in businesses. This way, the Campus of Excellence sponsoring universities continue to opt for an international benchmark position while promoting initiatives for employment and entrepreneurship in the Andalucía TECH poles of excellence. For its part, the SANDO Foundation, which has contributed EUR 15,000 to the programme, EUR 7,500 for each university, will benefit from the talent and training of the students of the Universities of Seville and Malaga.
This initiative forms part of the purposes of the SANDO Foundation, a non-profit organisation primarily dedicated to organising, supporting and collaborating in projects related to the prevention of occupational risks, labour and social-cultural integration of groups with difficulties for integration, dissemination of culture and sport or research.
Applications will be accepted for one month to receive the requests from those interested. The Commission will meet in November to, subsequently, definitely award the grants that will be given from January 2017. The students will, at all times, have a tutor in the SANDO company and an academic tutor from their university of origin.
