The Sando Fundación seeks sustainable ideas from students in Destino UMA
How to combine construction and the environment? This is the question posed by the Sando Fundación to the thousands of students who came to the pavilion of the University of Malaga for the academic orientation event Destino UMA.
The Sando Fundación launched this challenge at its stand in the Destino UMA pavilion. From the start of the event, the twelve metre stand has been filled with the most sustainable ideas from the young people of Malaga. They are the protagonists who, marker in hand, fill the walls of the stand with their ideas.
The adolescents respond creatively, offering solutions to reconcile construction and protecting the environment, and generating positive effects for the ecosystem. The first suggestions invite optimism: “Build houses that are biodegradable in fifty years”, “incorporate a recycling system in houses for generating energy from organic Waste”, “cover walls and roofs with adjustable solar panels to capture the sun all day”, “Construct houses with wind turbines”.
Imagination and hope go hand in hand through this initiative. The Sando Fundación, which supports environmental conservation and research through a range of social projects, will take note of the ideas from students and attempt to transform ideas which may be viable for the Sando Group into reality.
A lottery will be held, awarding a prize to one of the ideas from the walls of the Sando Fundación stand in recognition of the efforts to construct a better and more sustainable world for everyone.
