Conacon Sando will treat Roads in Alcañiz in Teruel for a budget of more than 5 million euros. The work will take place on national roads passing through Alcañiz (crossings), specifically the N-232A from 131+700 to 136+400 PK (kilometre points), the N-211A from 243+580 to 244+900 PK, and the N-232B from 131+700 to 132+900 PK.
Among the activities planned, the road surface will be renewed with actions such as the repair of subsidence, the conservation of scuppers (drains or cracks in the road) or the drainage systems of the roundabouts for the appropriate reconduction to the existing sewerage or rainwater network, or the installation of appropriate exterior lighting for areas such as pedestrian crossings and in compliance with energy efficiency criteria.
As the project indicates, the activities will take place in an urban environment to create a safer and more comfortable space for humanisation and compatibility with citizen activities. The interventions aim to encourage pedestrianisation and cycling, reducing noise, air pollution, and carbon emissions.
With this project, Conacon Sando offers the Directorate General of Roads of the MITMA (Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda) its experience as a company specialising in sustainable road construction. This project aims to provide Alcañiz with safer roads and a more environmentally and socially responsible environment, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Conacon Sando, the first road company in Andalusia to be ISO 39001 certified
Sando’s integration of Sustainability is also reflected in its commitment to road safety in all its operations. Conacon Sando was therefore certified by AENOR as the first construction company to implement the ISO 39001 Road Safety Management Systems standard in Andalusia in 2023.
A certification that reaches the road construction and treatment sector and certifies implementing a safe management system in the company to reduce occupational road accidents through promoting and encouraging good practices.
