On the occasion of the Madrid Food Bank’s emergency campaign, the Sando Fundación has donated 1,000 litres of milk that will benefit 200 people for a month.
As part of its social commitment, the Sando Fundación, works with social organisations, such as the Food Bank, which have the same purpose, the social protection of vulnerable groups.
Aware of the company’s commitment, the Food Bank contacted the Sando Fundación to ask for support in a critical situation: 160,000 people (6,400 children) may be affected by problems with milk supplies. As they have communicated, the drop in donations, high food costs, and the reduction of the Fund for Aid to Disadvantaged People (FEAD) caused the organisation to have problems supplying its milk warehouses with enough milk.
To prevent “Madrid from running out” and to contribute to the goal of 400,000 litres for the Madrid Food Bank, the Sando Fundación has contributed 1,000 litres of milk and launched an internal fundraising campaign among its professionals in Madrid.
A través de esta acción, la Fundación Sando suscribe su compromiso con la sociedad y contribuye a los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de Naciones Unidas. En concreto al ODS 2: “Hambre cero”, en su meta 2:
