The Sando Fundación has delivered construction material to the José María Torrijos Secondary School for its Basic Level Training Cycle in “Reform and Maintenance of Buildings”, which has begun its first course in Malaga this year.
The donated materials, valued at €1,088.62, will be used for the student’s internships during the current course and subsequent years. They will act as essential tools for the implementation of the different activities carried out within the training framework of the course, such as: brick masonry in walls; plastering of walls; mortars for plastering, cement and plaster rendering; laying of paving, formwork and reinforcement; and the formation of roofs and roof slopes.
This action aligns with the Sando Fundación’s commitment to support educational projects with social impact and contributes to the training of future professionals in demand in the construction sector, both for the execution of works and for the conservation of infrastructures. A sector in which there is an estimated national shortage of 800,000 qualified professionals.
Specifically, the materials delivered to the centre include: hard hats, safety goggles, dust masks, anti-noise helmets, waterproof boots with safety toecap and insole, safety harness complete with rope and carabiners, leather gloves, 500w dielectric gloves, work overalls, reflective waistcoats, shovels, electric extension cord, coloured spray cans, hand chariots, complete drumsticks and demolition mace.
