At the Sando Fundación, we face new challenges annually to continue maximising our contribution to society and establish strategic alliances with different public and private institutions offering social value proposals
Our long-standing links with the Malaga Foundation are worth highlighting among these synergies. For more than 22 years, a private non-profit institution has been dedicated to promoting research, social, environmental, heritage promotion, and cultural protection initiatives in the province of Malaga.
The Sando Fundación is the promoter of this foundation, following its commitment to contribute to Malaga’s cultural development and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities”. This commitment is part of the foundation’s Sustainability strategy and other lines of action, such as developing projects to support research, social projects with vulnerable groups, and promoting social integration.
The collaboration between the two entities allows the Sando Fundación to put its knowledge at the service of the Fundación Málaga and to support its management in favour of promoting and disseminating culture.
Fundación Málaga and the creation of value for the people of Malaga
The significant work carried out by the Malaga Foundation and its social impact in the province has been legitimised by the various awards granted by recognised organisations. These recognitions include: the Medal of Honour of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Telmo in 2007, in “recognition of his long career in benefit of the promotion of culture in Malaga”; the Honourable Mention and public recognition by the Government Subdelegation in Malaga, during the celebration of the XXXIII anniversary of the Constitution; the Award of the Association of Andalusian Foundations (AFA) in the category of Culture in 2014; or the Pheniké Star Award for Heritage Conservation Culture of the Zegrí Cultural Association in 2018.
Likewise, in 2004, the Assembly of Andalusian Foundations appointed the Fundación Málaga as a member of the Board of Directors, confirming its role as a culture promoter in the province of Málaga.
