Sando Fundación sets up competition for wooden structures at Malaga University (Destino Uma)

From today, the Sando Fundación is once again participating in the yearly Open Day activities at Malaga University, “Destino UMA”, which will take place in the sports pavilion at Teatinos Campus until Friday.

The initiative will allow volunteers taking part in the three day event to use their imagination and build structures such as bridges, buildings, dams, airports … connected with civil engineering construction, Sando’s main business activity.

Malaga University will supply the building materials required for the various projects, which will consist of only two elements: strips of wood and glue.

On Friday, the last day of the open day activities, there will be a prize for the work which best encompasses the concepts of aesthetics, reliability, complexity and originality. In line with Sando Fundación’s goal, the idea is to encourage students to awaken their creativity.

The prize consists of a wireless Home Cinema centre with DVD player incorporated.
