The Sando Fundación foundation, together with Mayoral, Grupo Myramar, the Malaga City Council and the Regional Ministry of Economic Transformation, Industry, Knowledge and Universities, has set up the Instituto Ricardo Valle de Innovación (INNOVA IRV) foundation, which aims to become a centre for applied research and innovation, focused on microelectronics, digital technologies and the circular economy.
The Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, stressed that the launch of this project is another step in the city’s long tradition of innovation. It places value on INNOVA IRV because “the local authorities must be a lever for economic transformation and encourage local companies to continue specialising in sectors that allow them to compete globally, attract talent and generate skilled employment”.
The Foundation’s President, Ezequiel Navarro, stressed that “the Foundation is an instrument for the collaboration of companies and the enhancement of the innovation ecosystem”. “The key is to connect with the market, with innovations that create value and jobs,” he stressed.
The Sando Fundación is excited about this project because it promotes knowledge transfer and will help modernise the Andalusian productive fabric, improving its competitiveness and international projection.
