Grupo Sando boosts its position in the Madrid property market with the purchase of 100,000 m2 of land. The operation has meant an investment of €50 million in one of the areas of the city expected to grow the most, the District of Valdebebas. To this acquisition is added that made recently in Villaverde, to the south of Madrid, of 24,000m2 more. These actions allow Grupo Sando to construct and sell 500 new homes.
Grupo Sando continues its process of consolidation in property, where it is already one of the most important companies in the industry. In the area of Valdebebas, the construction company will develop 100 homes and 7,500m2 for service sector use.
Within its process of expanding throughout Spain, Grupo Sando considers the centre to be a strategic area, where it is currently selling developments in the city of Madrid and in Torrejón de Ardoz.
Furthermore, the recent acquisition of 100,000m2 of land puts it very close to the Valdebebas Park, near Barajas Airport, an area that occupies more than 10 million square metres and which is to be the new green lung of the capital. Other large-scale infrastructure projects are to be carried out in this district, such as the Campus de la Justicia.
The property division of Grupo Sando develops urban, residential, service sector and industrial projects in Spain and Poland. It currently has a property portfolio of 7.7 million square metres, which will allow it to build 20,000 homes over the next few years.
