The president of the Government of Andalusia, Juanma Moreno, has inaugurated the Isla Chica health centre in the city of Huelva, a project executed by Sando for the Andalusian Department of Health.
As the Government of Andalusia has highlighted in a communiqué, the new health centre in Isla Chica has meant an investment of more than 4 million euros in building, refurbishment and equipment.
The new facilities occupy a total surface area of 2,566 square metres on a plot of 6,004 square metres ceded by the Huelva City Council. Moreover, the centre will serve an estimated population of 18,000 people.
The building constructed by Sando houses an emergency department, 20 family surgeries (plus two multi-purpose surgeries), five paediatric surgeries and a breastfeeding room and a surgery and minor surgery room. It will also have a dental surgery.
Juanma Moreno was accompanied at the inauguration ceremony by the Regional Minister for Health and Families, Jesús Aguirre; the Regional Minister for Equality, Social Policies and Reconciliation, Rocío Ruiz; the Mayor of Huelva, Gabriel Cruz; the delegate of the Government of Andalusia in Huelva, Bella Verano, and Jesús Rojo González, Director of Zona Sur of Sando Construcciones.
Sando Group has a specific division specialised in the execution and fitting out of healthcare infrastructures and the management of services complementary to hospital activity.
