The entity has recognised their achievements in Workplace Risk Prevention in the last five years
The Technical Commission for Health and Safety of the Plan Malaga has awarded three Sando professionals for their work over the last five years in the modernisation project being carried out at the Malaga Airport.
Sando’s professionals have overseen the compliance of risk prevention standards during the airport modernisation project over the last five years. The project includes a number of infrastructures, such as an expanded ramp, new aprons, the new terminal building, Railway station and a second runway.
The event, held in the Services Area of the Malaga Airport, was in recognition of the risk prevention achievements and professionalism of Sando employees María Victoria Ortiz, José Antonio Villares and Jaime Rodríguez, members of the team currently constructing the airport’s new runway.
The awards were presented by Manuel Saiz Santiago, Director of the Plan Malaga, and Juan Antonio Pérez Moreno, Director of Quality, Safety and the Environment of the Plan Malaga.
Workplace risk prevention is a fundamental commitment of the Sando Group, and its efforts in this area have been recognised on several occasions, including the 2008 Prever Award, presented by the General Council for Industrial Relations and Work Sciences. In 2001, Sando also received the SAFE Award from the European Union for its work in favour of the implementation of EU and national standards for workplace health and safety.
Additionally, the II National Construction Health and Safety Conference organised by the Sando Fundación was held in Sevilla in November 2010. The event included health and safety awards for two companies working with Sando as well as two infrastructure projects in Poland and Sevilla.
