The company will execute a section of the ring road for the city of Leżajsk in the southeast of the country
Sando has been awarded a new civil construction project in Poland, constructing a section of the Leżajsk ring road, Motorway 77 between Lipnik‐Przemyśl, for a total of 29,700,000 Zlotys, that is, 7.45 million Euros.
The project, contracted by the GDDKiA, (General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways), is the fifth civil construction project awarded to Sando Budownictwo in Poland and the second project of this quarter outside of Spain. A motorway construction project in Colombia was awarded earlier this month.
The first section of the Leżajsk ring road is a GP class motorway, that is, a main artery with a total length of 4,099 meters, including technical infrastructure and roadway installations.
Located in the southeast of Poland, between Warsaw and Cracow, the ring road project involves the construction of a series of infrastructures including a two level bridge over the 877 regional motorway at Giedlarowa; the partial reconstruction of this motorway, the national 77 and another municipal roadway; the creation of two additional engineering structures and the reconstruction of a number of service roads.
In addition to drainage and sewerage systems, motorway lighting systems and sound barriers, Sando Budownictwo will also execute the reconstruction of a high pressure gas pipeline.
Sando is currently involved in three other civil construction projects in Poland. The first of these is the North Bridge, an 800m mixed steel and reinforced concrete structure over the Vistula River.
The second is the construction of a section of motorway 7, between the towns of Olsztynek and Nidzica. Finally, since 2010, Sando has been constructing the A1 motorway between Torun and Strykow, to the northeast of Warsaw.
Sando is a leading international company in civil engineering projects in Europe and South America, with proven track record of technical expertise, environmental responsibility and financial solvency.
