Sando has been awarded in UTE the contract for integral maintenance and conservation of the natural spaces of Avila, near the Sierra de Gredos.
The contract awarded by the Environment Council of the Government of Castilla y Leon has an initial duration of two years, extendable, which covers the services and work for the maintenance of green areas in pristine condition.
For the execution of this service, Sando has a team of fifteen specialists fully equipped with all terrain vehicles with five GPS systems installed. Sando’s personnel will receive training in workplace risk prevention and especially fire prevention techniques given the nature of the areas where their work will be performed.
Sando’s Environmental Services division will provide cleaning and maintenance services for recreation areas, firebreaks, various forestry services including tree trimming, cutting, clearing and removal, as well as the elimination of Waste, cuttings etc. and the general maintenance of park infrastructure.
The flora and fauna of the Sierra de Gredos are an exceptional natural heritage of Spain, home to a rich variety of endemic species with a range of ecosystems at different altitudes, from the high plains to high mountain peaks. Animal species include the mountain goats, imperial eagles, foxes and others, populating the various ecosystems of the mountain range.
