The company has organised two teams of volunteers equipped with electric backpack sprayers that spread a dilution of sodium hypochlorite
The Sando group of companies has provided the Malaga Provincial Council with two units for the disinfection of retirement homes infected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In April, the company disinfected retirement homes, centres for the disabled and convents in Torre del Mar, Vélez-Málaga, Torremolinos and Coín.
Along with the electric backpack sprayers, the professionals are equipped with full-body coveralls and hoods, technical safety boots, two layers of gloves and full-face masks with air filters.
Sando professionals have followed the protocol indicated by the Ministry of Health in each retirement home. Firstly, by supervising all the areas to be treated together with the managers of the affected centres where the contagion has occurred. The disinfection work continued with the spraying of the disinfectant dilution on most surfaces, with special emphasis on the surfaces most susceptible to continuous contact, such as knobs, railings, buttons, push-button panels, etc.
Approximately 105 litres of a dilution of water and sodium hypochlorite have been applied in each of the buildings they have disinfected, This spraying was complemented by a second manual cleaning of the most sensitive surfaces with the same chemical compound.
In addition to the humanitarian work that Sando is carrying out in the province of Malaga, the company is also cleaning the stations, offices, facilities, workshops and railways (Avant trains, long and medium distance trains, suburban trains, locomotives) of Renfe and Adif in the central and southern regions of the country. The new protocols have been implemented in these services, increasing the level of cleaning and introducing disinfection work.
