The company has begun the purchase of land for the development of more than a thousand homes in Poland.
Sando Inmobiliaria, the company that carries out Grupo Sando’s property operations, has inaugurated its Warsaw office. The event was chaired by the Minister of Tourism, Trade and Sport of the Andalusian Regional Government, Paulino Plata Canovas, accompanied by Jose Luis Sanchez Dominguez, the president of Grupo Sando and Luis Sanchez Manzano, vice-president/managing director, Jose Luis Miro, the General Manager of Sando Inmobiliaria and Pawel Putkowski, the company’s representative in Poland.
Representatives of the Polish government, as well as Spanish leaders and businesspeople met on the twenty-ninth floor of the Warsaw Financial Center in order to see the new offices of Sando Inmobiliaria Polska. Among the attending authorities were the Spanish ambassador to Poland, Rafael Mendivil; the director of the Spanish Economic and Commercial Office, Jose Bernardez; the vice-minister for Tourism and Sport of the Andalusian Regional Government, Sergio Moreno, and the general manager of Extenda, Julio Moreno.
After a brief tour of Sando Inmobiliaria Polska’s facilities, Luis Sanchez Manzano gave a speech to comment on the excellent state of business activity currently carried out by the company in Poland.
Likewise, Paulino Plata underlined the most striking aspects of the history of Grupo Sando in his welcome speech and he put special emphasis on the growth that the company has experienced in the last few years, consolidating itself at the forefront of the market in Andalusia and exporting its philosophy and experience, firstly in Spain and now in the European Union: “This is a company that is strongly committed to making its operations international and that has done so knowing how to identify those markets that offer great opportunities”.
Since Sando Inmobiliaria Polska started its entry into the European market at the end of 2005, the company has carried out operations that will allow the construction of more than a thousand homes in one of the areas of Warsaw that has the best prospects for development.
Sando Inmobiliaria continues the dynamic of constant growth that last year gave it a turnover of 210% of the 2004 figure, reaching €102.1 million, which is almost 20% of the Grupo Sando figure.
Currently, Sando Inmobiliaria has a property portfolio of more than seven million square metres, mainly distributed in different places around Spain, for residential, industrial or service sector use.
The company intends to continue carrying out very intense property activity in Poland by means of land acquisition and the construction, promotion and sale of homes. This is a project that is progressively materialising and for which Grupo Sando has been preparing itself over the last few years, creating and training a great professional team.
