SANDO JOINS THE “WOMEN AND ENGINEERING” PROJECT OF THE ROYAL ACADEMY OF ENGINEERING TO MENTOR WOMEN.

Sando professionals will accompany young female engineers who are about to complete their bachelor’s or master’s degree studies.

Sando Construcción has joined a new edition of the “Programme of Excellence for the Development of Female STEM Talent” of the Women and Engineering project of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAI). The aim is to increase women’s presence, interest, and leadership in the sector.

In this project, Sando professionals will accompany young female engineers who are about to finish their bachelor’s or master’s degree studies, sharing their experiences and points of view. A mentoring to boost the transition at the beginning of their professional career. The objective is to provide a comprehensive and balanced education that incorporates science and technology to achieve a more egalitarian society.

This collaboration is part of the agreement that ANCI (National Association of Independent Builders) has recently signed with the Royal Academy of Engineering. The objective is to join forces against the existing gender gap in the construction sector. Sando, as a company belonging to ANCI, wants to increase the presence, interest and leadership of women in STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics) careers.

A commitment to training

Sando has recently signed a collaboration agreement with the educational institution specialized in engineering, Zigurat Global Institute of Technology. The Sando Fundación also maintains its commitment with the EFE news agency to provide scholarships to journalism students to train them in their specialization in Corporate Social Responsibility.
