SANDO JOINS THE ‘WOMEN AND ENGINEERING’ PROJECT OF THE ROYAL ACADEMY OF ENGINEERING FOR MENTORING WOMEN.

Sando professionals will accompany young female engineers who are about to complete their bachelor’s or master’s degree studies. 

Sando participates as a mentor company in the “Women and Engineering” project, within the “Programme of excellence for the development of female STEM talent” of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAI). It does so based on its commitment to training and supporting young people in their professional development. 

In this project, Sando professionals will accompany young female engineers who are about to complete their bachelor’s or master’s degrees, sharing their experiences and points of view. A mentoring programme to promote the transition at the beginning of their professional career. The aim is to provide comprehensive and balanced training that incorporates science and technology to achieve a more egalitarian society. 

This collaboration is part of the agreement that ANCI (National Association of Independent Builders) has recently signed with the Royal Academy of Engineering. The aim is to join forces against the existing gender gap in the construction sector. Sando, as a member of ANCI, aims to increase the presence, interest and leadership of women in STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics) 

A commitment to training 

Sando has recently signed a collaboration agreement with the educational institution specialising in engineering, Zigurat Global Institute of Technology. The Sando Fundación also maintains its commitment to the EFE news agency to provide scholarships to journalism students with the aim of training them in their specialisation in Corporate Social Responsibility.
