The results of the mass data collection will be presented in the Department of Town Planning
On Wednesday, Sando will take part in a practical demonstration of the main technologies applied to mass data collection. This time, it will be carried out on the Malagueta beach and will allow for obtaining a detailed inventory of the coast and of all the elements that make up the coastline.
The demonstration will be coordinated the technology firm Nadir, which will use MMS (Mobile Mapping Systems) on-board a quad. The vehicle will drive along the beach from 10.30 in the morning capturing data using spherical images with an MMS MX7.
Later, at 12:00, the results of the data collection will be presented in the Department of Town Planning of Malaga, where what these systems and their applications mean for the construction, environment or maintenance industry will also be explained more technically.
The technology that is going to be presented can be used to take inventory of cities, study control of erosion on the beaches or develop the road maintenance of a city, as Sando already does in cities like Seville or Malaga.
The Sando business group has a long track record in the application of mass data collection systems for construction and maintenance. In this sense it has carried out several research projects on the subject such as Las Roads, using drones for civil works, the 3D-Coast to study coastal erosion, or the UAV-Green to monitor using drones large areas of parks and gardens.
