The company attended a round table event on Transfer and Cooperation
The Sando company was part of the first European Science, Technology and Innovation Forum, Transfer, which took place this week in Malaga and served as a meeting point for universities, businesses, public administration bodies and change agents.
Since its “Transfer and Cooperation Round Table”, Sando has been in contact with businesses and research groups interested in new R&D project development or collaboration in those which are already underway.
Sando is currently carrying out two research projects from its installations at the Adif Centro de Tecnología Ferrovaria in the Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía and is planning two new research projects in the near future.
The first of these, Las Roads, concerns topographic research and consists of the development of a system for the extraction of useful information from the data captured by airborne and land-based laser sensors applied to civil engineering.
Las Roads started last year in conjunction with two benchmark companies in the field of Cartographic Engineering: Stereocarto and Leica Geosystems, alongside two research groups from the University of Jaén.
Similarly, it is also involved in a research project related to recycling for the use of construction Waste materials in road surfacing, in collaboration with the Junta de Andalucía (Regional Government).
