The executive president of Agencia EFE, Marina Gabriela Cañas Pita de la Vega, and the director general of the Sando Fundación, Esther Sánchez Manzano, have signed a new collaboration agreement to strengthen their commitment to training. For yet another year, two scholarships for Journalism in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) have been awarded.
This scholarship programme began in 2011 and aims to specialise two journalism students in CSR. The first one will last 5 months and will be carried out at the EFE Agency’s facilities in Seville. The second will last four months and will be held at the Agencia EFE office in Malaga.
Students in the last two years of their Journalism degree at the Universities of Seville and Malaga will be eligible. Selection will be based on the specific requirements set out in the call for applications.
The scholarships aim to train journalism students in a fundamental subject to raise awareness in society, such as Corporate Social Responsibility. This initiative also seeks to increase the dissemination of information related to CSR in Andalusia.
Commitment to training
Year after year, the Sando Fundación continues to focus on qualified training and practical learning. In this regard, it has developed initiatives such as the “Futman Values” project, which aims to instil healthy and positive virtues and skills in children and their immediate environment.
It also participates in the “Women and Engineering” project, a mentoring programme for young women engineers who are about to complete their degree or Master’s degree studies.
