The Cártama women’s table tennis team will be called the Fundación Sando NovaCártama TM

The Sando Fundación, in line with its commitment to promoting physical activity and sport, will support the Novacártama Table Tennis Club (TM) this season. In 2023, the club was fourth on the medal table of the national championship, with a dozen medals obtained by the paddlers, the most awarded club in Andalusia.

The table tennis club began in the early 1980s as the Asociación Deportiva la Unión and has adopted various denominations until reaching its current name, the Club Deportivo Novacártama TM, always to promote the practice of table tennis and physical and sporting activity among the inhabitants of the municipality of Cártama (Málaga). The club is affiliated with the Andalusian Federation and the Royal Spanish Table Tennis Federation.

Aware of the importance of this club as a sporting proposal for the people of Cártama and to support the sportswomen who play this sport, the Sando Fundación will be the main sponsor of the club’s women’s team, which will be renamed the Fundación Sando NovaCártama TM.

Promoting sports is one of the main levers for creating social value, as it consolidates values such as companionship, effort and resilience and offers fans, family and friends the opportunity to meet again. Sando Fundación seeks to maintain this social value created by sports and, therefore, sponsors clubs and sports teams, focusing on promoting women’s sports.

Through sponsorships such as the Sando Novacártama Foundation’s women’s team, whose name will appear on the paddlers’ new kit, the foundation raises the profile of female talent in sport. It contributes to SDG 5 “Gender equality”.
