Occupational Road Safety in construction, BIM technology and psychosocial aspects will be the focal point of the interventions
The Sando Fundación will hold, in collaboration with the Chair of Prevention and Corporate Social Responsibility, the 6th National Meeting of Safety and Health in Construction on 7 November in the School of Industrial Engineering of the University of Malaga.
The sixth edition of this meeting, consolidated with a national reference forum in occupational risk prevention, will address three current issues in the sector. Road safety in construction will be the focal point of the event and will be discussed at a round table with representatives of trade unions, foundations, the General Directorate of Traffic and the General Directorate of Employment and Social Welfare.
The other two conferences will address relevant issues such as psychosocial aspects in prevention of occupational hazards and how the use new technologies can affect prevention, specifically the BIM methodology, which is being rapidly implemented in the construction sector and affecting key security aspects.
The opening ceremony will be attended by the Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre; the general director of Employment and Employment Welfare of the Government of Andalusia, Beatriz Barranco; the Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of Malaga, Teodomiro López; the director of the Chair of Prevention and Corporate Social Responsibility, Juan Carlos Rubio, and the general director of the Sando Fundación, Esther Sánchez.
The Sando Fundación awards for Occupational Health and Safety will be held in the final part of the meeting. The Minister of Employment, Training and Self-Employment of the Government of Andalusia, Rocío Blanco, will preside over the closing of the day together with the President of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Andalusia, Javier González de Lara; the general secretary of UGT Andalusia, Carmen Castilla; the general secretary of CCOO Andalusia, Nuria López; the director of the School of Industrial Engineering of the University of Malaga, Alejandro Rodríguez, and the deputy chair and CEO of Sando, Luis Sánchez.
