Canals in irrigable areas of Jaén
Improvement of existing canals in irrigable areas of general state interest in the Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation to promote savings, efficiency and sustainability in the use of water resources, lot 4: Granada area.
The contract for canals in irrigable areas of Jaén aims to implement a series of measures to improve the efficiency of water use for irrigation in the canals of the Confederación Hidrográfica del Guadalquivir in the province of Jaén.
The canals on which Sando Agua is working are: the Sector III canal in the Upper Zone of Vegas, the Sector VI canal in the Upper Zone of Vegas, the Sector VII canal in the Upper Zone of Vega, the Sector VIII canal in the Upper Zone of Vegas, the sector V canal, sub I in the Middle Zone of Vegas, the Guadalmena Irrigation Zone canal, the Central Hydroelectric Canal Puente de la Cerrada, the Central Hydroelectric Canal Salto del Molino, and the Rumblar Irrigation Zone canal.
In these, actions are carried out, such as the structural repair of the sections that have lost their original section, of cracks that have been detected, or the installation of waterproofing materials. This work aims to reduce water leakage from the canals, enabling efficient management to combat water wastage.
In this way, Sando Agua contributes to the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of waterworks of general interest in the canals of irrigation areas in Jaén, promoting savings in this resource and improving its final distribution and accessibility to users
