Contracting authority: University of Malaga
The project includes constructing the Government Pavilion and the Paraninfo of the University of Malaga on the Teatinos Campus, located on a plot of just over 30,000 square metres. The structures take into account criteria of topography and aeronautical easements that exist in the area, trying to introduce vegetation as a differentiating element and using marble as a fundamental material.
The first building, measuring 12,400 square metres, has three levels and is intended to house the Government Pavilion of the University of Malaga, the administrative headquarters of the university, and a car park below ground level for 83 vehicles, where the warehouses and a general archive will be located. The ground floor has a central entrance hall, a customer service and information point and a large staircase that connects directly to the upper floor, where the governing bodies are located. t also includes two central courtyards to provide natural light to the work areas. The second building is the Paraninfo, an auditorium of 3,099 square metres with a capacity for 803 people, including adapted seating
The project also includes installing and maintaining green spaces and promenades, constructing an outdoor car park and covered parking spaces with canopies and photovoltaic modules.

The project for the Government Pavilion, Paraninfo and open spaces for the University of Malaga won first prize in the Malaga Architecture Awards 2022 of the College of Architects, which recognise works and projects with values of special architectural or urbanistic interest. Among the criteria for obtaining this award, the solid proposal to resolve the programme of the University of Malaga by integrating the spaces and gardens linking interior and exterior, creating an authentic relationship space for the users, was highlighted.
The new Government Pavilion, Auditorium and open spaces is opposite the School of Industrial Engineering of the University of Malaga, a sustainable building also constructed by Sando, the first in Andalusia to obtain an A energy rating.
In 2022 the Government Pavilion, Paraninfo and open spaces won the Macael Prize in the category of‘Work in Macael White Marble’in Andalusia.
