Hangar for Ryanair
Phase 2 hangar for Ryanair at Seville Airport
This project concerns phase 2 of the Ryanair hangar at Seville Airport and involves constructing a hangar to maintain Ryanair’s aircraft. The complex is made up of two bays: one with a span of 80 m between supports (for two aircraft) and the other with a span of 40 m between supports (for one aircraft), with a volume of 97,649 m3 and a surface area of 7,255 m2 respectively. They can simultaneously accommodate 3 Boeing 737 -10 and Boeing 737 -8 aircraft.
The Ryanair hangar has more than 5,500 m2 of parking and 8 electric vehicle charging bays, 1,600 m2 for warehousing and workshop, and 570 m2 for offices, meeting rooms, training and changing rooms. In addition, 30 rooftop ventilation devices have been installed to achieve energy efficiency. Sando has used 125,000 kilos of steel for the structure, platforms and metalwork.
