Hospital Quirón Málaga
Expansion of the Hospital Quirón in Málaga
The work consists of the extension of the Hospital Quirón Málaga with the adaptation of the ground, first, second and third floors of the existing building for healthcare use. The new facilities cover an area of more than 3,000 square metres and represent an extension and modernisation of its facilities
Depending on each floor, Hospital Quirón Málaga has structured different areas adapted to the specific needs of each room, using specialised materials and systems that ensure the hygiene of the space, the safety of patients, and the optimisation and efficiency of the care provided by the professionals.
Thus, the Nuclear Medicine Unit is on the ground floor; the first floor houses 18 medical consultation rooms; the second floor includes another 8 consultations, an Assisted Reproduction Unit and a Research Unit. The Day Hospital is on the third floor, providing space for 8 independent boxes and a post-anaesthesia recovery room with a significant outpatient surgery unit consisting of four operating theatres. The project also includes the general installations and vertical communications on all four floors.
Sando is building the Hospital Quirón Málaga following the BIM model implemented by the company.
Hospital Quirón Málaga is included in the Spanish ranking of the World’s Best Hospitals 2023 published in Newsweek magazine.
