This project consists of the refurbishment of several historic buildings in the central Plaza de Molviedro in Seville to build the Hotel Vincci Molviedro, creating a space with 79 rooms, 18 luxury flats and leisure and gastronomic areas with a terrace, swimming pool and solarium.

This project involves the unification and refurbishment of the interiors of four historic buildings to convert them into an avant-garde design hotel. A work of great technical complexity that requires professionals and resources specialised in singular buildings, aiming to preserve the buildings’ cultural heritage.

Among the work carried out by Sando to build the Hotel Vincci Molviedro was the underpinning of the foundations of one of the buildings, which has load-bearing walls in the first bay and a central courtyard with a portico of marble columns. The underpinning is carried out using a complex structure stabilisation using a system of super-slim beams. Due to the limited space available, this stabilisation must be versatile and be able to be modified as the foundations are being raised.

Due to the central location of the Hotel Vincci Molviedro, where the work is being carried out, the logistics pose an added challenge to the technical complexity, highlighting Sando’s exemplary execution and its specialisation in infrastructure and unique buildings.

The Hotel Vincci Molviedro has won the Best Luxury Hotel Interior Design 2023 Award.
