Sustainable urban park “Parque de la Mata”
The Parque de la Mata sustainable urban park project responds to the need to create a free recreational area for the inhabitants of Cártama that will also serve as the backbone of the system.
The aim is to create a Sustainable Urban Park next to the CIP La Mata, on a plot of land currently lying fallow, consisting of a children’s play area, Skatepark, dog play area, a sports circuit, shrub and garden areas… among other elements for the recreation of the inhabitants of Cártama.
The Parque de la Mata project aims to create a representative and emblematic space in the municipality, which improves accessibility, mobility and interconnection of the surroundings and incorporates spaces that allow socio-educational activities. It is a project with a marked environmental character, where sustainability is the backbone of its conception.
The design seeks to generate a microclimate of comfort with low water consumption landscaped areas, durable furniture and soft consumption lighting, or sustainable urban drainage with water recovery systems.
