Modernising the irrigable areas of the lower Guadalquivir includes the demolition and replacement of the canal on 10.5 km, repair on 52.5 km and cleaning on 49.5 km. Nine beacons are planned, equipped with sluice gates and Taintor and the repair of three existing beacons, providing the canal with a remote control and remote control system for its management. In executing the project to modernise the irrigation areas of the lower Guadalquivir, 14,458,500 kg of steel, 267,031 m3 of rapid hardening concrete and 330,677 ml of joint treatment are used.
