New provincial police station in Soria
New provincial police station in Soria
The new provincial police station of the National Police in Soria is a building built on 4,753 square metres, at number five of Calle León, and consists of two connected buildings.
The first building is intended for public attention and offers the services of issuing the National Identity Card and passports, the office of complaints and citizen attention, as well as the Family and Women’s Attention Unit.
The second four-storey building houses the police units of the Information, Judicial Police, Citizen Security, Forensic Science Police and Foreigners’ Police brigades, as well as training and telecommunications facilities. It also has two basements for parking and service facilities.
With this project, Sando continues to offer the Sociedad de Infraestructuras y Equipamientos Penitenciarios y de la Seguridad del Estado (SIEPSE) its experience in the construction of sustainable infrastructures and its specialisation in penitentiary centres.
Efficient and sustainable building
The building has been executed under strict quality and environmental criteria to be considered as a Nearly Zero Energy Consumption Building (NCEB). This has involved the implementation of a series of procedures, techniques and materials that guarantee that the work is executed integrating aspects such as energy efficiency, through the maximum use of natural light; or the circular economy, with the use of sustainable materials in line with the climatic requirements of the city of Soria.
The correct implementation of these measures has enabled us to obtain the ‘4-leaf’ green rating from the Green Building Council Spain (GBCe).
