New raw materials warehouse for Cosentino
Construction of structures for Consentino’s new raw materials hall.
The project consists of constructing a raw materials hall for Consentino, with a total area of 14,670 square metres. The industrial estate in which it is located occupies several municipalities, with this work being located in the northern part of the Partaola municipal district.
The building is constructed with a reinforced concrete structure and a foundation consisting of braced footings. The main structure has a polished, trowelled waffle slab supported by reinforced concrete pillars. A half-height reinforced concrete wall is placed on its perimeter slope, serving as an enclosure and supporting the definitive enclosure.
The existing soil came from the previous filling of the wadi, which had been diverted to gain surface area, so 55-millimetre diameter piles were placed in the central region of the building for greater stability.
On the other hand, a layer of reinforced concrete is laid on top of a layer of artificial gravel, reinforced with 20-centimetre thick metallic fibre, polished and trowelled.
