Rincón de la Victoria Regenerated Water Pumping Station
Construction of the Rincón de la Victoria Wastewater Pumping Station (WWTP) and the pipeline from the Rincón de la Victoria WWTP to cross the “El Cañuelo” housing development in Chilches Playa (Vélez Málaga),
The emergency works involved in the construction of the Rincón de la Victoria Regenerated Water Pumping Station (RWPS) enable the connection of the tertiary treatments of the Rincón de la Victoria Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) with the Guaro Plan
The Pumping Station is a metallic structure with concrete enclosures that house five pumps with a capacity to pump five hundred litres per second at a height of 120 metres. These industrial facilities are equipped with a two-tonne bridge crane and a control room from where the pumping is regulated.
Pipelines of the Rincón de la Victoria Regenerated Water Pumping Station (RWPS)
Sando’s pipeline corresponds to the section from the Rincón de la Victoria WWTP to the El Cañuelo housing development in Chilches Playa (Vélez Málaga). It covers 2,135 metres with 600 mm diameter cast iron pipes capable of withstanding a pressure of 25 atmospheres, and the manholes, registers, suction cups, drains, valves and a 25 cubic metre boiler. In fact, given the difficulty, Sando uses three tunnel boring machines (TBMs) to carry out the pipelines.
