Subway for handling vehicles at Malaga Airport
Subway for handling vehicles in the new airfield at Malaga Airport.
The works for the Malaga Airport Airfield Expansion require the construction of an underground taxiway called Link Sur, which connects the existing runway 13-31 with runway 12-30, known as a subway for handling vehicles, i.e. vehicles that assist aircraft.
This road, between the east apron and the north apron, allows handling vehicles to circulate between the two, passing under the second runway at Malaga Airport, which Sando Construcción also built.
The handling vehicle subway will be made using diaphragm walls with 96,852 m3 of excavation, 57,500 m3 of backfill and 2,400,800 kg of corrugated steel for its construction.
