Waterproofing of the La Bolera reservoir
Contract for waterproofing treatment works on the left bank of the La Bolera reservoir, various municipalities (Jaén)
The La Bolera reservoir waterproofing project consists of the treatment of two areas on the left bank of the reservoir basin to stop the seepage affecting the ordinary operation of the dam.
Within the framework of this project, Sando Agua is carrying out actions such as implementing geophysical studies to detect important infiltration routes and thus focus subsequent work.
The slope is also shotcreted (spraying of concrete through a pressurised hose), including pre-cleaning work, installing steel bars to hold the shotcrete in place and filling cavities. As well as monitor and treat drains with liquid concrete.
In the execution of this waterproofing project for the La Bolera reservoir, Sando Agua has placed its team of specialised professionals at the service of the Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation to ensure that the project is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety. In this respect, it is worth highlighting the study of seepage, in which the gauging of the Peralta spring and the historical series of levels in the reservoir were analysed, which delimits the strip on which to act to obtain potential reductions of 12.13 cubic hectometres of water per year in the seepage.
