• The pictures are the prize winners in the 21st edition of a contest in which 31 photographers from Aragon participated.
• The travelling exhibition can also count on the support of Sando in Madrid, Córdoba, Málaga, Murcia, Valencia and Toledo.
• 54 photographs and 12 series have been selected from the more than 2,200 previously presented for the contest.
Zaragoza.- The Sando construction group sponsors the travelling exhibition “Iron pathways”, which is part of the 21st edition of the contest of the same name that rewards the best photographs made on the subject of railways. 31 authors from Aragon have presented themselves to this competition.
The exhibition will travel to various Spanish capitals and is due to be present in Zaragoza from the 13th to the 30th of September. Sando collaborates with the Spanish railways foundation, which is organising the event in a number of these cities. In addition to Zaragoza, the construction company will be present in Barcelona (3rd to 7th of October); Valencia (25th of October to 12th of November); Murcia (15th to the 26th of November); Toledo (29th of November to 10th of December) and Madrid (13th of December to 7th of January).
The contest aims to foment creativity in all aspects of the railroad environment: passengers, stations, trains, rails, etc.
The first prize went to a series of photographs called Corrientes (currents), whose author, Lourdes López, received 6,000 euros. The second prize of 3,000 euros, went to Irina Bosch, for Peinando Colores (Combing Colours).
The exhibition presents the work of 55 authors, who with 54 individual photographs and 12 series, approach the Railway theme from very different points of view. The number of pictures presented to the competition was 2,206, belonging to 1,065 authors from 24 countries.
